Aberdeen and my trip to Edinburgh

And finally, all very tired and celebrating Valentine's Day

Some pictures of New Town in Edinburgh

Me feeling very accomplished and back at the bottom
this is no exaggeration of how steep the path was leading to the top

On our way down the very steep steps

I got a little ahead of the group and here they are coming to the top of Arthur's Seat in the fog

Above is us making our way up to Arthur's Seat...timers on cameras work great even when climbing giant volcanoes!
Below: Edinburgh castle just beyond the Crags

The Salisbury Crags which are the cliffs near Arthur's Seat

The city of Edinburgh

Arthur's Seat from the palace

Our first hostel experience

Greyfriar's Bobby

Below is a bagpiper on the street and above is the writer's museum we went to

St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile

Holyrood Abbey...an abbey of ruins attached to the palace

From inside the gates

The Queen's Palace

Edinburgh castle at night

Megan and I at the Italian resturant we went to the first night

Kaitlyn and I on the train to Edinburgh

And more photographs of the church

The Church of Scotland that was shown earlier which is also the one I attended the services at. Here is the small chapel inside the church.
Art Gallery

A park in the city

His Majesty's Theatre...the performing arts theatre in town

More of the golf course which actually goes right up to the beach

The North Sea and beach from Aberdeen...this is where I come when I go for runs

Royal Aberdeen golf course

A bridge crossing the river

The River Don that run behind our dorm and leads to the sea

The four of us...Kaitlyn, Megan, Kyle, and I...at the Ceidlilh with the Highland cow

Kaitlyn and I at the Ceidlilh with our shots of whisky...we looked happier before we took them

Megan and I at the Wateringhole (the pub in the dorms)

One of the buildings on campus

Ships on the harbor

Picture of the sea and coast line when I first arrived and it had snowed.

The street that I after the park and church that I walk down to get to class

Here is the Church of Scotland that I walk by everyday (above) and is at the top of the hill in the picture below of the park.

Pictures of the park that I walk through to go to class. At each end are hills that I have to climb to reach the street on either end...they are steep hills and no way of avoiding them either way. The park kind of sits in a valley.
