Pictures from around Scotland

Well, unfortunately you've seen all of the angles now...yeah it's a bit small but nice that I don't have to share it with anyone! It's been a while since I've lived in a dorm so we'll see how it goes!

My dorm room at the University

Edinburgh castle from the street

This is an original door and I am pointing to a carving of the original U.S. flag with the 13 original colonies on it

Aunt Lil playing dominos like the prisoners did...?

POW Memorial- within all of the bunkers they held a total of 1,000 men at one time

Building where Scotland's crown jewels are kept

The oldest building in the castle...the chapel...which you can still have weddings in today even the public...only sits 20-25 people though, but still something to think about haha!

The dog cemetary on the castle grounds

Looking out over the city of Edinburgh from Edinburgh Castle

The deer on the side of the mountains roaming

These two above were taken from the hill we climbed in Portree the city we visited on the Isle of Skye. The view was just stunning.

This was probably one of my favorite castles...Eilean Donan Castle...which also sat upon another lake in Scotland.

Below is some of the scenery we passed while driving to the Isle of Skye, and the goats above were the ones along side the road just eating whatever they could find.

Urquhart Castle sits on Loch Ness...so here is the castle and the water is Loch Ness. It's really beautiful especially with the mountains around it.

Below is the first of many Highland Cows that we saw which are native to Scotland and the pictures above are just some of the scenery we passed on our way to Inverness on Day 3.

These two are at the beach on the North Sea at Lossiemouth which is in northern Scotland right on the coast.

Here we are at the second castle we visited on Day 2...Kildrummy Castle...the top picture is me in the Maiden's Tower.

Here is the view from atop the hill on the second day while visiting Craigievar Castle. The two above that are the castle itself and Aunt Lil sitting on a toadstool beside it.

This was the castle we visited on our first day called Tolquhon castle.
